Unseen Images of the Vietnam War: Elephants Caught in Reconnaissance Photo.
The above photo, taken by George H Kelling, shows the shadow of an RF-4C Phantom photo reconnaissance aircraft streaking across across an open area of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. These planes were equipped with different kinds of cameras and could take photographs at high and low altitudes, day and night.
If you look more closely at the photo, you will also see the impact of the noise of the low-flying jet on two elephants at the bottom of the photo and the white water birds that have also begun to scatter in fright in this marshy area of Vietnam.
Our new film, M.I.A. A Greater Evil. Set in the jungles of Laos and Vietnam, the film deals with the possible fate of US servicemen left behind after the US pulled out of the Vietnam War.
