We were recently delighted to be informed that our short film, Clueless? has been selected to be screened at the SOHO Film Festival in New York next month!

Clueless was shot in the rice fields of Nakhon Nayok, Thailand.

That doesn’t mean it will win anything, of course, but to even have it shown is a huge honour for the first time screenwriter (er, me) the first time director (Byron Bishop), all the actors and crew and the first time producers (Byron, Sahajak Boonthanakit (“Poo”) and I).

Poo and I will be flying to New York to represent the film on behalf of everyone who generously gave their time to work on it or to appear in it or who supported it in other ways.

The film has already won two awards, in the 9Filmfest short film festival in Bangkok last year (Best Actress and Best Producers).

The SOHO Festival is in May so we’ll keep you informed of what happens over there, but I can honestly say I’m excited at the thought that something I wrote on my kitchen table, and which was brought to life in the rice fields of Thailand through the work of the cast and the fantastic crew and editor we had, will be shown on a big screen in a film festival in New York.

The director and crew find something suspicious in a rice field but choose to ignore it, preferring to check their holiday photos instead.

It’s a fitting reward for the hard work and outstanding collaboration of everyone who was involved with the film.

I'm off to New York, but which province is it in, and can I drive there?

Right, I’m off to New York, me, but which province is it in, and can I drive there?

See the trailer for our new film, M.I.A. A Greater Evil. Set in the jungles of Laos and Vietnam, the film deals with the possible fate of US servicemen left behind after the US pulled out of the Vietnam War.
