I’m pleased to announce that we have finally loaded our award-winning short film, Clueless? onto You Tube. It runs for 11 minutes.
We realized we were too busy with other things to enter the film into any more festivals even though we’d won two awards in the 9FilmFest Short Film Festival in Bangkok, and it had been screened as part of the SOHO Film festival in New York earlier this year, which was a fantastic achievement for everyone connected with the film.
We had a lot of fun making it, and we worked with some great people.
It was my first shot screenplay (although I dopily forgot to give myself a credit – we were too rushed editing it), it was Byron Bishop’s first directing role and Sahjak’s, Byron’s and my first production as Keynok Productions.
Most of the actors and actresses had never acted before either, and we shot it on less than $1,000, most of which went on food and beers for everyone when we were on location in Nakhon Nayok, in rural Thailand, where we shot the film over two days.
There’s a plot-relevant 1980s Liverpool band reference hidden in the film, which is why I have loaded this onto the Bombed Out website.

See the trailer for our new film, M.I.A. A Greater Evil. Set in the jungles of Laos and Vietnam, the film deals with the possible fate of US servicemen left behind after the US pulled out of the Vietnam War.
