More New York Punk Images.
Search and Destroy on St Mark’s Place, in New York’s East Village.
On my recent trip to New York I was having Punk images and references thrown at me wherever I went (see links at the end of this article, for example).
One evening, a friend parked his car in a random street and I was surprised to find it was St Mark’s Place, made famous, for me at least, by the reference to it in Lou Reed’s track ‘Sally Can’t Dance’, which was released on his album of the same name in 1974 (I have put a You Tube link to it below).
