Below is a link to the interview I did on Saturday, 1 November, with Billy Butler on Radio Merseyside, about Bombed Out!. It’s about 20 minutes long and starts at around 1 hour 41 minutes into his programme. I will try to post just the interview in the coming days if I can get hold of a copy from the station.

I enjoyed doing the interview. I didn’t really know how Billy Butler, the DJ, would approach the book, as he’s more famous for having been a part of another Mathew Street club culture, The Cavern, a few years before Eric’s and Punk, and is not generally known for his interest in Liverpool’s Punk and New Wave scene.

In the end he handled the interview well, quickly put me at my ease and I had a laugh doing it. He gave me some great publicity for the book too, although I forgot to mention it is also available on Amazon and Smashwords, as well as from News From Nowhere in Liverpool and from my own website!

Other than that, having listened to it in the cold light of day, I think it went well, and I’m pleased to have done it.
